  • H & M: Is it just another clothing company in a fashion saturated high st

Just to take a massive departure from my 1st foray into blogs - I'd like to now ask a more productive question (well, its productive for me)

What do people think of the clothing company H & M?
    Personal views, stakeholder views, anything.

As guidelines, these are the kinda things I'm after -

    How much do you:
    - Know about the company overall?
    - Read about it / see it in newspapers etc? (both as advertisments and
    as articles / newstories)
    - Do you even want to know more about the company or is it
enough that you merely dis/like their products?

    Also:
    - What do you think about H&M?
    - Which (if any) campaigns do you remember?

On a more general note -
    - How much do you feel influenced by a company's image / brand?
    - Does it make a difference to you if the company is in someway
ethical or one that is seen to care?

Your input in this will be greatly appreciated - both by me and my tutor who doesn't want to have yet another student real of a generic essay ripped from a text book

  • Constant monitoring of blogs: An interest in others or a lack of anything better?

So, according to Technorati.com there is a new blog created every sec.
Sounds promising - the musings of many bought together in the blogosphere, inspiring interesting conversation and topical debates.

But, it would seem that for every wonderfully insightful entry or creative effort there is 1001 counterparts trawling out the dull monotony of their daily routine. Don't get me wrong, I'm well up for encouraging the arts but aren't we just taking the piss with this one?

What really gets me though, it that for every 1001 budding writers there are countless readers who will absorb this crap - encouraging more tales of "I got up, had bath, walked dog, went to bed."

What are these readers doing (or not) that leads them to read these tales of the uninteresting? Fair enough -lets have a topical debate or find answers to society's problems but why the hell do you want to know what someone ate for breakfast ??
